There’s no doubt that the world is changing. How it’s changing and in what direction is an entirely different matter. The number of voices predicting an imminent global crisis is increasing while a smaller community is saying that a “spiritual rejuvenation” is on the way. Which will it be? As the world changes, will it be for the better or the worse? Maybe both? Are we about to see the mythical and yet real death and resurrection?
Who has the inside track, the real skinny on the future?
Do we try and interpret Nostrodamus? Is the Mayan calendar the answer? How about the book of Revelations? What about the “inner voice”? Is it saying anything to you? Do you have a favorite author, guru or guide that you’re listening to? Is there an Eastern message from the I Ching or other sources that have clues to the road ahead?
Or have we entered a boxed canyon from which there is no escape?
What we are learning though is that we are NOT in control- as an individual. But when we unite with others and start to form a community or larger “planetary citizenship” however one wants to define that, we can achieve the “collective goals“. We need to get after it and fast though because technology’s relentless explosion is greatly shortening our learning feedback loops, compressing time, and forcing us into a very short window of time within which to get our act together.
Our world is changing, has changed; and we’re being left with very few days within which we must change as well.
