Affirming The Negative?

If there’s anything I see too many of us (me included) doing, it’s affirming the negative. In other words, we make daily affirmations that stem from negative thoughts. In essence, we’re canceling out what we’re affirming because of the source. I affirm that I am not sick says the person who’s going in for a medical exam. Shouldn’t the affirmation be that I am one with God and created in His image- the foundational truth?

Let’s take this application on to the 2012 window.

The affirmation should not be that we’re going to develop a collective consciousness to ward off all the impending dangers that scientists say are headed our way. The truth is WE ARE! I AM! We need to get ahold of the truth which is we ARE spiritual beings NOW.

I don’t have to try and psyche myself into believing that I am a spiritual being here trying to have a human experience. That IS who I AM!

Sometimes, but not often, we recognize the truth at the cellular level and it’s more than clear to us. Even when what we are experiencing, thinking seems too crazy, we KNOW! When the NO suddenly and unexplicably becomes YES, , it’s because at the deepest level of who we are, has just been affirmed. It came from our Source of being, and not from our egoic small self that wants to take credit for any number of events in our life.

I can’t tell you how many times I have taken on a positive affirmation, with the strongest of emotions, over a sustained period of time, and not achieved the goal. On the other hand, I’ve know those moments when out of nowhere, I hear a wor or a sentence, and my true Self says YES. I AM THAT! I am THAT, I am. Hey, it’s the Moses Code! :-)

Affirm the truth, not the egoic laundry list. :-)
