We are the world! We are ONE or at least we are BECOMING ONE! When you look at the historical violence (mostly in the name of one religion or another), and compare it to the so-called “war on terrorism”, you have to wonder if we have progressed any at all. It usually takes the intervention of a powerful “outside threat or force” for wherein warring factions see the potential extinction of both before they come together as one to stave off the intruder. That intruder just might go by the name 2012!
In the 2012 scenario there’s not just one outside intruder but dozens!
Most of the world’s religions were birthed in the East and in eastern thinking- eastern mysticism versus Christianities Greek mindset of logical thinking. Georg Feuerstein, a well-known German-Canadian Indologist, and a Western authority on Yoga, sees a coming together of many of those religions. He wrote, “The formula of samsara equals nirvana implies a total cognitive shift by which the phenomenal world is rendered transparent through superior wisdom.”
I’d call that “superior wisdom” a flooding of God’s Spirit, spiritual energy gone wild! 
The magnitude of the Spirit will be a match or at least equal to the adversities from without wherein even radical Shiites will lock arms with the most radical Sunnis. More amazing maybe from this side of the big pond is the loving agreement between fundamentalists and New Agers (if they still exist). How about fundamentalists being friends with Marcus Borg, Walter Starcke, Richard Rohr, and John Shelby Spong.
We’re talking real miracles here: a major dimensional shift is on the way!
No longer will things be seen as separate- as though they were in the first place. No more duality thinking and living. Using Daniel Pinchbeck’s words, “Whatever distinctions there may be, these are variations or manifestations of and within the self-same Being.” No more exclusivism!
We are ONE!
We are the WORLD!
