There are an endless number of 2012 predictions and theories out there now, as more and more people become aware of the Mayan prophecy. However, a lot of these new predictions are backed by nothing but personal opinions and scare tactics. The 2012 phenomenon has been around a lot longer than the passed couple of years though, and the core theories haven’t changed. They’ve actually only gained more credibility through scientific research and natural occurrences. We find more and more evidence every day that something might be coming our way, whether it be positive or negative, no one can tell you for sure. Planet X

While Planet X is one of the more popular 2012 predictions the question still stands – Is there a Planet X out there coming our way? Is it 2012 Predictionsthe infamous Nibiru from some historical legends? Is it a brown dwarf who’s information and secrets are being withheld from us by NASA? The term Nibiru comes from the Sumerian cuneiform tablets and writings dating 5,000 years ago. Nibiru means “Planet of the crossing”, and it’s cuneiform sign was often a cross, or various winged disc. To the Babylonians it was the celestial body associated with the god Marduk.

Is this possible planet with 3,600 year highly elliptical cycle headed our way and due to arrive in 2012? We must confess is that if so, we’ll know by at least 2012 and have a few years to prepare.
 
 
 

Polar Shift Has Been Predicted in 2012

Even one of the more wild 2012 predictions but with a growing sense of possibilities is the concept of polar shift: which goes by many cousin names. Pole shift theories aren’t the same plate tectonics. Neither are pole shift theories the same as Geomagnetic reversal, the periodic reversal of the earth’s magnetic field (effectively switching the north and south magnetic poles) which would cause the earth to switch directions but author Patrick Geryl supports such a view. Does this mean a 2012 doomsday?

Montonori Matuyama would not be a name that most people are familiar with or know- even if they could pronounce it. Way back about 90 years ago he observed some abnormalities in some volcanic rocks that he was researching. It appeared to him that what he was seeing meant that the magnetic poles of the earth were once something other than what they were then. His article got little attention because no one had very much information on such wild ideas. That was then- this is NOW: and 2012 is on the way!

Planet X (Nibiru), the photon band, and a galactic black hole ahead are wild theories, but what Montonori discovered is fact!

Fast forwarding to the mid 1950’s studies of plate tectonics, sea floor expansion, and continental drift became front burner issues for many scientists and along with it magnetic pole anomalies. Fast forwarding to now, we have with the aid of Global Polarity Time Scale (GPTS) and other enhanced scientific instrumentation discovered some interesting facts to help give credit to these 2012 predictions.

  • There have been thousands of magnetic pole reversals in the history of the planet.
  • Frequency of the reversals is wild and varied.
  • There’s been as many as two reversals in less than 50,000 years
  • A pole reversal happens on an average of every 100,000 years
  • The last reversal was 780,000 years ago.
  • Shifts can take thousands of years or one was an 80% shift in 13 days.

And now we learn that we’re overdue for a pole reversal as well. So, we’re overdue for a super volcano eruption and an asteroid strike. Are all three due on December 21, 2012 at 11:11pm? Probably not, but that something BIG is coming our leading up to 12/21/2012- more than highly probable.

And if we have one of those 80% shifts in two weeks or something comparable, is that the end of the earth? There’s no indication that past reversals sent mankind (homo erectus) into extinction. Big losses? You bet. There would be a loss of computers, satellites, power grids, and your favorite TV program.

It’s been authenticated that fluctuations in the geomagnetic field can cause confusion and actually kill insects. Migratory birds could wind up in environments that would end their species. So, let me ask this. Is there possibly a connection between the decreasing bee population over the last 2-3 years with our changing magnetic field? So far scientists have not come up with a reason for the decline which leads to fewer flowers and crop growth. Maybe some of these 2012 predictions will show to be true.

Increased Solar Flare Activity Through 2012

Sun spots and solar flares are major causes of many things here on earth from life to death. Is there any wonder historical civilizations worshiped the Sun? The sun has an eleven year cycle, rotating from a quiet to an active stage over that eleven year cycle.

We’ve just entered cycle # 24

Solar Flares are measured on a three fold rating scale with C minimal, M as average, and X as a BIG! Further, each of those letters has a number attached to it to give the ranking more precise detail. As an example. on January Jan 17th, 2005, in cycle # 23, we had flare # 720 shoot out an X3 coronal mass ejection which was the size of Jupiter. Then on Jan. 20 an X7 blew! On Sept. 7th an X17 (#798) became the largest solar flare in history. And that set the tone for one of the worst ever natural disaster periods eve in recent history. Can you say Katrina, Rita, Wilma, massive earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and CAT 5 tornadoes? The potentially scary question is this. We saw a 40% increase in sun spot activity in the quiet part of the cycle. Can we withstand a 40% increase in the active cycle come 2012? Not without major problems! Volcanism and Yellowstone 2012

Probably one of the most logical of the 2012 predictions, backed with tons of scientific data, is the possibility of volcanism. One of the worst effects of violent sun flares is an increase in volcanic activity here on earth. Volcanologists and geologists do not refer to supervolcanoes nor mega calderas in their scientific work, but sometimes do in public presentations. However, they do describe eruptions that rate VEI 7 or 8 as “super eruptions”. VEI= The Volcanic Explosivity Index was devised in 1982 to provide a relative measure of the explosiveness of volcanic eruptions. The largest volcanoes in history given magnitude 8. A value of 0 is given for non-explosive eruptions Each interval on the scale represents a tenfold increase in observed eruption criteria.

2012 Volcano I’ve already mentioned the Thera explosion, but Italy’s Vesuvius (August 24, C.E. 79) was and still is one of the most dangerous volcanoes because of the population (3,000,00). Then there was Krakatoa located between Sumatra and Java on August 26, 1883. It’s the best known eruption which culminated in a series of massive explosions- the most violent volcanic events in modern times.

With a VEI of 6, it was equivalent 13,000 times the bomb that devastated Hiroshima, Japan. The 1883 eruption generated the loudest sound historically reported: the cataclysmic explosion was distinctly heard 3,000 miles distant. Some 165 villages and towns were destroyed and 132 seriously damaged. At least 36,000+ people died, and many thousands were injured mostly from the tsunamis followed.

Don’t forget the Yellowstone supervolcano – Scientists today will tell you that it’s overdue for an eruption. What does that say to you?

Galactic Crossing

One of the most intriguing theories, but with lots of addendums to the main theme is that of a galactic crossing that happens every 26,000 years, or the precise Mayans period of 25,626.83 years. How is it that the Mayans knew this, without a telescope more than a thousand years ago? Where did their 2012 predictions come from?

How did the Mayans know about black holes before we did? How were they able to see, much less know of a black hole that they called the “dark rift”, the womb from which stars were birthed. The theory says that a black hole is flattened and traverses the diameter of the galaxy and when we cross over that there will be disturbances and perturbations that will affect life on earth negatively. Maybe!

Attached to this theory is a growing body of evidence, by another Russian scientists that speaks of an interstellar plasma current that’s just ahead of us. The material between the stars is known as the Interstellar Medium, or ISM. Some call it dark energy. The Cosmic Hot Interstellar Plasma Spectrometer (CHIPS-launched 2003) satellite is giving scientists invaluable info.

Russian scientific expert, Alexey Dmitriev says there has been a ten fold increase in the interstellar plasma deflected from the heliosphere boundary of our solar system indicating we’re moving into an area of magnetized plasma, which NASA is mum on. Electromagnetic pulses are increasing and with the lowering our own magnetic shield.

Dmitriev is gaining the ear of more and more scientists.
 
 

A Venus Transient

A lesser known of the 2012 predictions, The Venus Transient comes into the mix in ways that I’m not too concerned about; however, paying attention to every detail is important. A transit of Venus across Sun takes place when the planet Venus passes directly between the Sun and Earth, obscuring a small portion of the Sun’s disk.

During a transit, which occurs every 243 years, Venus passes between the earth and the sun TWICE in 8 yrs! We’re living within that 243 window of a Venus transit. In case you missed it, the initial transit happened June 8th, 2004. The transit of 2004 lasted six hours. But, you can get in on the second half of the 243 transit which occurs June 6, 2012!
