Atlantis

Now in the 25,000 year ago era, we have the legend of Atlantis. We also have more specific data on this civilization. For example Plato in his work, Timaeus & Critias, writes of such a nation-civilization. There are two probable locations. The most popular planting would be just to the West of Gibraltar and the secondary point around the island of Crete.

Many are the partial destructions of Atlantis and many are the legends of these people.

One such interesting discovery came just 58 years ago in Arkansas no less. Do you know what the oldest living city in North America is according to those who keep such data? The answer is Poverty Point, Arkansas thought to have been built around 1600 BCE. Coincidentally, this would be around the time of the great flood.

Suddenly this city and community died, became covered over with debris and was left unnoticed until a small plane flew over the area in 1950 and thought the “hill” looked somewhat suspicious. Thus an excavation began unraveling what historians now believe was a community built by surviving Atlanteans. It was built exactly as historical descriptions of Atlantis and a sister city – Carthage.

Imported rocks and minerals include various chert, flint, soapstone, hematite, magnetite, slate, galena, copper, and many others begin the discovery/ The geometrical design is exactly like pictures and stories of Atlantis with alternating rings and moats leading to the central structure. Historians have built a scenario wherein an influx of people came at both 1600 and 1100 which coincides with the last two destructions of Atlantis which brings us to about 11,000 years ago when the end of the last ice age is seen.

So much for ancient history, a story of catastrophes and civilizations of advanced people who did things we’ve thought only relative to our time, and people who knew things that we’re just now discovering.
