Cosmosgenesis or Catharsis

On the #1 website for 2012, you can buy caps, T-shirts, and a host of other items that all speak of the pending doom that will happen December 21, 2012 at precisely 11:11pm. The Mayan calendar does end with the Dec. 21, 2012 date, but where does it say what happens on December 22? Might we as well move into a Golden Age, and age of Homo Luminious as well? That’s my bet. However, there are many physical and scientific events that are to occur between now and then that would lead one to have some concerns. We must deal with them and not stick our heads in the ground!

So we have a choice: maybe several.

Will we see a spectacular rise in consciousness- a cosmosgenesis of sorts? Or will we be frozen, afraid, experience catharsis, and wait for catastrophe to fall upon us? Like I said, we do have choices here. Is the date so “fated” that we can’t alter it? Does an astronomically (or many) set and defined date necessarily mean we’re facing “deterministic consequences“?

I think not.

We are not helpless, hopeless automatons. We are co-creators with the Creator of all life! I am more enthused with what that means than whatever obscure prophecy Nostradamus is interpreted to mean or what Edgar Cayce might have seen. The 2012 Final Fantasy is ours to be written, painted, and lived out between now and then and after Dec. 21, 2012.

Much like those religious fundamentalists that hope for and believe in the coming rapture (which they desperately want to save them from a physical death), those who think the end will come on 12.21.2012 may find their end comes much sooner. None of us are guaranteed a pass for tomorrow, next month, 2008, much less 2012. The “corporate end” always gives way to the “individual end“.

Or so has been the case til now.

On the flip side, a study and analysis of our home, called earth, reveals that there have been historical catastrophes beyond our comprehension. There are cycles to life to the cosmos. And many of them seemingly come into play in the year 2012. Click on the tab at the top- “About This Site” to read about them. So, while we have time, why don’t we get about dealing with the real and false self, and begin the healing process of this earth that we need for future life.

Let’s work towards an increased consciousness that just might lead to a new cosmosgenesis.

Digital Darshan

The internet just might be a way to transfer more of the Spirit than we know, or is there a deeper secret here? Obviously fundamentalists might not agree with me, but I see the internet as a digital darshan! The bandwidth of connectivity (the world) combined with the instant connectivity (nano seconds), make it an ideal tool. The Indian word darshan means a direct transfer of higher consciousness. Why not? Let’s just DO IT!

More and more people are becoming fully awake. The process theology of A.N. Whitehead would emphasize the BECOMING while I want to accent the AWAKE! Pacal Votan, known as a magician of time, understood mathematics, or numbers, as a type of language that transcends the subjectivity of human verbal experience. He believed- “All is number. God is a number. God is in All.” And in an intriguing way, the Maya’s message is that we are intimately linked with and informed by the Galaxy. All of life is ordered by the same basic, re-occurring patterns. We are all BECOMING something- as a collective consciousness.

Maybe Carl Jung wasn’t too far off!

From the slow emergence of we homo sapiens to the agricultural age, to the industrial age, the current age of digital knowledge, and on to the age of wisdom or what may be in 2012 the Golden Age. Time is speeding up even if we’re not aware of it. A 2012 final fantasy?

French paleontologist and spiritual guru, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (of whom I’m devouring about a dozen of his works) believed that we were moving towards a speeding up of time. Unfortunately he left us in 1955, long before the internet, or otherwise he might have been even more impacting in his theorems. Even with that, he took us from cosmogenesis (birth of cosmosphere), to goegenesis (birth of the earth), to biogenesis (birth of life), etc., etc.

He was ultimately leading us to Christogenesis and isn’t that what we who live within the Christian traditions believe: without denying those who live outside of our traditions!

But of course, it all began with Mayangenesis! :-)

Am I saying that one needs a computer to hear God? No way!

But what does appear obvious to me is that the internet is a tool for cosmic consciousness beyond anything that our finite minds can comprehend: currently. It’s a collective consciousness.

It’s a true ONENESS! Maybe an indirect digital darshan?

Divinity Is Insecurity

There are so many things that we are afraid of in this world. We are frightened by the unknown and yet the divine is the greatest unknown of all. What will tomorrow bring and how can we be ready for it? More importantly, what makes us think that we are in control in the first place? In banishing God to heaven (as the church and religion has done), have we made life on earth any more safe? Are we any more in control? Or is it that we just think we are?

The church and science have teamed up in a remarkable two-pronged effort to knock the Creator off its axis but in so doing have only fooled themselves. Science and the Age of Enlightenment thought that they had stolen the game from religion. Science became the new kid on the block until quantum physics brought the scientific gods back to earth.

Religion kept God at arms length (out there- a concept called theism) and set up rules for controlling and conforming society to it’s rules and it worked until Martin Luther came along. And there went the religious neighborhood. Every charismatic leader and denomination wanted to rule their own religious hood with their own ideas about God.

What a mess!

But both are now beginning to look at this coming event call 2012 and are wondering if they should join hands in the fight. A 2012 final fantasy maybe? After all, this looks like a pretty major event and maybe truly joining hands would work better that being competitors. All things work together for good, so they say. We have five years to experiment with various unions. And since in reality there is only ONE and since we are ONE, accepting it or not, maybe the more of us that get on the same page the better.

No rush!

We have five years. Don’t we?
