Chile Earthquake & Sun Filament Link?

So, what’s up with the Haiti earthquake followed by the Chile massive earthquake? Are we seeing some early 2012 tremors? Could there be a link between the recent massive sun filament and these earthquakes? Does anyone have any answers or are we just to write all of these major catastrophes off as coincidental?
