103p Hartley – Hartley Comet 2

It’s definitely not Nibiru, nor planet X!

It’s the BIG GREEN COMET! The icy nucleus of comet 103P/Hartley 2 measures no more than a couple of kilometers across. That tiny nugget, however, is surrounded by an vast atmosphere of gas more than 150,000 km in diameter–about the same size as the planet Jupiter! And it’s coming our way.

And that means what?

At present, the comet is a 7th-magnitude object best seen through telescope. The comet glides by Earth only 11 million miles away on Oct. 20th. Two weeks after Comet Hartley has its close encounter with Earth, NASA will have a close encounter with the comet. The Deep Impact/EPOXI spacecraft is hurtling toward Comet Hartley now, and on Nov. 4th it will fly 435 miles from the comet’s active icy nucleus. The encounter will mark only the fifth time in history that a spacecraft has been close enough to image a comet’s core.

For astronomers this is an exciting visit.

Typically during the course of a year about a dozen comets will come within the range of amateur telescopes. Most quietly come and go with little fanfare, but during the upcoming weeks one rather small comet will be making an unusually close approach to the Earth. On March 15, 1986, astronomer Malcolm Hartley discovered a new comet on photographic images taken at the U.K. Schmidt Telescope Unit at Siding Spring, Australia.

At the time Hartley discovered it, the new found comet was an exceedingly faint object, with just a hint of a tail; it was about 25,000 times dimmer than the faintest stars that can be seen with the naked eye. After further images were obtained over the next several days, Hartley announced his discovery to the Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams in Cambridge, Mass.

This fall, Comet Hartley 2 will again be passing through the inner solar system, reaching its closest point to the sun (called perihelion) on Oct. 28 at a distance of 98.4 million miles. And while en route to the sun, it will also make a very close approach to the Earth. In fact, on Oct. 20, the comet will be at its closest point to our planet at a distance of 11.2 million miles.

It’s quite unusual for any comet to approach this close to Earth. Such an event only happens on average perhaps three or four times a century. So, we should have an exciting show, but that’s about all…………..unless!

X37B – Robot Space Plane

The intrigue is definitely building. What are we looking for out there in the deep and dark space? Surely we don’t suspect a Planet X, Nibiru, or the likes to be out there and headed in this direction. Tell me that’s NOT what this is about. I can understand the secrecy behind X-37B, but what’s up with Sophia? Are you wondering about all of this as well?

Looking somewhat like a traditional shuttle but at roughly one-quarter the size, the unmanned X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle took off for its maiden space voyage from Cape Canaveral in Florida and reached a low earth orbit late in the day. The X-37B is intended to serve as a platform for experiments and to offer insights on transporting satellite sensors and other equipment to and from space.

So they say!

As part of this initial mission, the Air Force will evaluate the X-37B’s guidance, navigation, thermal protection, and unmanned operations in orbit, re-entry, and landing. It will function in space like other satellites, with operators on Earth monitoring its travels. Eventually, the Air Force will tell the space plane to head home. But no one knows when we will bring it back home.

Then on Tuesday, NASA offered the first media tour of the world’s largest airborne observatory.

The Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) is a former Pan Am Boeing 747 carrying a 40,000-pound, 98-inch-diameter German-made infrared telescope. A massive hatch opens in flight to allow the telescope to do its work. And just what work is that? At a time when we’re in trouble financially, why are we sending this experiment into space at a cost of say $15,000 an hour. Tell me again, why is this so important when we’re cutting back on other space programs?

SOFIA is expected to capture its first infrared images in flight in six to eight weeks.

Let’s see infrared cameras that can see in the dark: see things that we’re not capable of seeing here on earth. And just what are they looking for? Let me ask a couple of what seem to be reasonable questions. Could we be looking for a brown dwarf, an approaching meteorite, or some small but destructive fly-by planet? Could our X-37B carry weaponry that we hope could shoot down, deter, or change the course of such an object?

Surely I’m just wildly guessing. Right?

Planet X Hercolubus – The 10th Planet

Mars is generally been the answer given when one asks, what’s another name for the RED planet. However, as we move closer to December 21, 2012 another name comes to mind- Hercolubus! Bear with me as I review this Planet X, if you will, that seemingly just won’t go away as December 21, 2012 approaches. How many names this pending disastrous planet has is amazing. More often than not, it’s been called Nibiru.

Zecharia Sitchin has garnered much attention among ufologists, ancient astronaut theorists and conspiracy theorists. He claims to have uncovered, through his retranslations of Sumerian texts, evidence that the human race was visited by a group of extraterrestrials from a distant planet in our own Solar System. Part of his theory lies in an astronomical interpretation of the Babylonian creation myth, the Enuma Elish, in which he replaces the names of gods with hypothetical planets.

Say What?

Yeah, I know it gets a little crazy; however, one of the latets “editions” to the 10th planet thinking comes from a man who died ten years ago- V.M. Rabolu. He was born in 1926 in Colombia in a simple and humble family. In 1952 he found the true spiritual Knowledge whilst in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta (Colombia). That led him to writing a book, before his death in 2000, Hercolubus or Red Planet. It’s the same story line as those associated with Planet X , Nibiru, etc. Anyone can order the book for FREE from the Alcione Association.

Got some spare reading time?

An interesting twist though is that Rabolu feels that we can be transformed, have a leap in consciousness and have our spirits lifted from this earthly plane before the stuff hits the fan; otherwise, Rabolu says, “During the cataclysm, humans will become mentally unbalanced, and will not be able to eat or sleep.” Talk about an understatement. I wonder what the next theory might be?

Better yet, when will we be able to actually SEE this planet? Obviously if a planet is out there and coming here in the next 2+ years, it has to show up on the radar screen soon. Or, has it already? Do the powers that BE already know about this? Is that why America is building the underground military bunkers, why Russia is building the huge civil defense shelters, and why China is building the quarter million occupant shelters. Is the concern about a nuclear war or something more ominous?

These are interesting times, aren’t they?
