Japan 8.9 Earthquake And Tsunami

Today, March 11 2011, Japan was hit by a Earthquake that measured 8.9 on the Richter scale – the most powerful earthquake to hit Japan in the last 100 years.

After the massive-scale earthquake, a tsunami swept in with waves up to 30ft high, devastating the area. Waves of this power and magnitude can decimate houses from their foundation as well as toss cars and boats like they’re nothing. Images can be viewed of half a car with it’s face in the sand.

It’s estimated that hundreds of people are dead as well as countless others missing or injured. Not to mention those that were dragged away by the tsunami might not have a home to go back to.

Japan reported over 30 aftershocks following the 8.9 earthquake. This led to the collapse of buildings, widespread fires, and transportation disruptions throughout the entire country. One report mentioned of a train derailing and others losing contact.

As of now an emergency task force is being dispatched to assist in recovery and evacuation. According to Japan defense forces, a total of 60,000-70,000 are being evacuated into shelters.

President Obama has spoken on the subject and said the United States is standing by to help in any way possible.

Could these effects have anything to do with the 2012 predictions? Hopefully the coming super moon doesn’t bring us any more disasters.

Tsunami In Indonesia

We’re seeing more and more sun spots, more eruptions, and we’re probably just getting started- on 2012?

Oh yeah, there’s that 2010 thing first (November 2nd- called a mid-term election). But, back to the natural catastrophies.

Planes and helicopters packed with rescue workers and supplies landed for the first time Wednesday on remote Indonesian islands that were pounded by a 10-foot (three-meter) tsunami, sweeping away villages and killing at least 272 people. The first aerial surveys of the region revealed huge swaths of land underwater and the crumbled rubble of homes torn apart by the wave. One lay tilted, resting on the edge of its red roof, with tires and slabs of concrete piled up on the surrounding sand.

A tsunami alert was sounded but does a falling tree make a noise if no one is listening?

Two days after a powerful earthquake triggered the wave, the casualty count was still rising as rescuers and disaster officials finally reached the Mentawai island chain, which was closest to the epicenter and the worst hit. Bad weather had kept them away.

And then there was the FIRE (volcano)

Rescuers scoured the slopes of Indonesia’s most volatile volcano Wednesday after it was rocked by an eruption that spewed clouds of searing ash, killing at least 28 villagers including an old man known as the mountain’s spiritual gatekeeper. The blast eased pressure that had been building up behind a lava dome perched on the volcano’s crater, but experts said the worst may not be over. The lava dome could unleash deadly gases and debris if it collapses.

It’s not yet over!

“It’s a little calmer today,” said Surono, the chief of Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation. “No hot clouds, no rumbling. But a lot of energy is pent up back there. There’s no telling what’s next.” Mount Merapi, which translates as “Fire Mountain,” has erupted many times over the last 200 years, often with deadly results. In 1994, 60 people were killed, while in 1930, more than a dozen villages were incinerated, leaving up to 1,300 dead.

And, all of this is two years out from December 21, 2012!

Earthquakes and Tsunamis – What’s Worse?

We all (people I am talking about) have an IP address; however, we are ALL connected to the internet- the FIELD, web, or Matrix of that which IS. Unless you have spent some time in meditation, and are more concerned about our planet than Wall Street, that first line meant nothing. The only FIELD that most are concerned about these days is the football field, as we sort out who will be in the 2010 Super Bowl.

The massive earthquake in Haiti with somewhere around 100,000 deaths is a wake up call.

Sure, we have had earthquakes before; however, not all earthquakes are equal. It’s usually amusing to watch the weather guru’s (so they think of themselves) predicting the number and intensity of hurricanes that will strike the U.S. mainland in the coming year. But, what’s not so funny is the report about coming earthquakes. I didn’t know they had such predictions. Granted the prediction I’m referring to isn’t coming from a weather man but a digital web-bot linguistics approach.

Say what?

Quoting George Ure, “The problem is that as we look at the data, there are at least six great quakes due during calendar 2010 and possibly many more. After six, we stopped looking – not a pretty sight. We assume you know a ‘great’ quake is one with magnitude 8.0 or larger, but in a social sense, Haiti is a ‘great’ quake based on extreme loss of life.”

Ure goes on to say, “From the period (approximately) July 7th onward, the data features six clusters of data that will be larger than the global horror that followed the 2004 tsunami. And – sad to report – the data suggests that 220-million will be moving around just on the [American continent] which means additional quakes can be expected this year of larger magnitude including some hints that one will be on the US West coast.”

None of that excites me knowing the vulnerabilities of the West Coast.

The GOOD NEWS is that Pat Robertson doesn’t have it right when he blames the Haiti earthquake on SIN or some wild-eyed agreement with a “metaphorical devil”. Thankfully we’re becoming far more AWARE of who it is that we ARE and we’re beginning to TRANSCEND our limitations. It’s about time because things are going to get real dicey very quickly and I’m not talking about in one day: like 2.21.2012!
