So, tell me when is an earthquake not an aftershock, but simply a new earthquake? If you are living in Chile it probably doesn’t matter. Chile’s new leader, Sebastian Pinera, had to have felt like he dodged the bullet when the massive 8.8 earthquake and tsunami hit Chile several weeks ago. But today, Thursday, March 11th, his day to be sworn in, he may yet get to sense what outgoing president Michelle Bachelet has been living. (more…)

Every earthquake has some unique characteristics to it because of the location, depth, and intensity. The Haiti 7.0 magnitude earthquake will be remembered for the massive devastation of life (200,000 killed?) and total destruction of a city (Port-au-Prince). The five hundred fold in power 8.8 earthquake in Chile only killed some 800 people; however, it was so powerful it shortened our day here on earth! (more…)

The 2010 American Earthquakes?

I can predict with one hundred percent certainty that there will be a massive earthquake in California. I just don’t know if it will be this year, 2010, or 2020, 2030, etc. But, what we do know is that the web bot linguistics predicted SIX major earthquakes (7.0 or higher) or 2010 with TWO being in America. So, I guess California would be as good of a guess as any place, don’tcha think? (more…)
