Lemuria
Lemuria
Some 50,000 years ago, or thereabouts, there was a world called Lemuria. It’s so-called because of those little pesky monkey-looking animals called lemurs: primates that inhabit the fourth largest island on the planet- Madagascar. Lemurs is loosely translated as spirits of the night. Lemuria is often simply called Mu, which stands for Motherland.
Lemuria is mentioned in some form or fashion by more than 120 Indian tribes. Most equate Lemuria with a people who came from a mountain out of sea. Those who have done an in depth study of this civilization call it the original garden of Eden. Edgar Cayce called it Zu or Oz. Megalithic sites and monuments with precise detailed maps of the lost continent of Mu were found on stone tablets from Pre-Inca, Peru, by Dr. Javier Cabrera, engraved in stone and photographed by Robbert Charroux.
Lemuria is been most often positioned between Madagascar in the Indian Ocean and extending as far East as the Canary Islands.
The foremost historian on legendary Lemuria is James Churchward (1851-1936). He has described Mu as a civilization where homes had transparent roofs, people were free from stress and disease and lived to be hundreds of years old. They had E.S.P. abilities, practiced telepathy, astral travel, and teleportation. They were primarily vegetarians, who lived mostly outdoor: an organic culture that worked in harmony with nature and the land, having little use for scientific technology. Further, Churchward writes that the Lemurians concentrated on meditation.
The legends of Easter Island speak of Hiva which sank beneath the waves as people fled. Samoans called a similar place Bolutu. It was stocked with trees and plants bearing fruits and flowers, which were immediately replaced when picked. On Bolutu men could walk through trees, houses, and other physical objects without any resistance. The Maoris of New Zealand still talk about arriving long ago from a sinking island called Hawaiki a vast and mountainous place on the other side of the water.
Did Lemuria really exist? Did they possess such powers as people like Churchward and others contend? You decide.
