Mayan Calendar

As historians began to uncover the amazing culture that is the Mayans, they discovered the Mayan Long Count Calendar – the beginning of the 2012 phenomenon. The Mayan calendar is about 5,000 years old, and believed to begin somewhere around 3114 BCE. This calendar ends on a 5,125 year cycle. More specifically, it ends on the infamous December 21, 2012 date – The day of winter solstice.

The Mayans were quite adept at astronomy and the sciences, and are well known for their knowledge of planetary cycles and such. They were extremely advanced, probably far more than we even know. However, what were the Mayans telling us when they ended their calendar on this December 21, 2012 date?

How would you even prepare for something like this? A 2012 Survival Guide?

2012 Survival Guide

Were they telling us the world is ending? Or perhaps a new transition will take place?

Whichever one it is, I don’t believe anyone can tell you for certain now. We know through science that a lot of things are beginning to line up – Things such as volcanic and earthquake activity increases, aligning of planets, temperature changes, etc. Is this all pointing to 2012?

Perhaps they were pointing to a new age in time – The Age of Aquarius, maybe? Will mankind take a new leap into a greater consciousness that changes the planet?

The possibilities are endless, and there are 2012 predictions everywhere. Some of them have a lot of reasoning behind them, and can be hard to argue with. There is probably just as much evidence pointing to the other end of the spectrum.

Which side will you take? Whichever it is, you should be prepared. Better yet, prepare for both! December 21, 2012 is getting closer and closer. While something may not happen on that exact date, a change is coming – Be ready!
